FOUND. Collection began in 2014 as a meeting of two minds — two Stellenbosch women with a shared love of beauty, craft, and the kind of dressing that means something.

Since 2019, Lisa Carinus has led the label with a clear and passionate vision: to make garments that are genuinely worth keeping. Feminine, refined, and quietly confident — pieces that don't follow a trend, because they don't need to.

Every FOUND. piece is a limited run. We work with a carefully chosen group of skilled South African artisans and source textiles that meet our exacting standards. When a design sells out, it is gone — and that is by intention. We believe in making fewer things, making them well, and making them here.

Our collections often draw from the world around us — the landscapes, the light, the cultural heritage of this extraordinary country. 

We are proud to support local makers and small-scale South African entrepreneurs — because we believe fashion can be a force for something good.

Our dream, simply, is that every woman who finds us finds something truly her own.

How every piece is made

Each FOUND. garment begins with the fabric — sourced for its quality, texture, and longevity. Fabric truly speaks to us and it usually tells us what it should be in a garment. Our small team of trusted local artisans then brings the design to life by hand, one piece at a time. We keep our runs limited not just for exclusivity, but because quality at scale is a contradiction we refuse to make.
